Jin Sakai was trained since childhood in a strict, disciplined environment, trained by peers to become a samurai. His uncle Shimura is the jito of the island. Jin lived this way his whole life until the Mongols arrived. When the Mongols invaded Tsushima they killed most samurai, civilians and devastated towns. Sakai was one of the few survivors. Jin considers it his duty to protect the island and his people at any cost. The samurai followed the moral code Bushido such as death before dishonor. The Mongols greatly outnumber him and the inhabitants of the island so he must find new ways to defeat them. He can choose to use his expert swordsmanship as a samurai or learn new tactics of the Ghost which violate his code of honor. People on the island say good and bad things about him. Jin progresses to become larger than life, a legendary warrior.

1. Height: Measure from top of the head to the floor with bare feet.
